Christ FollowerFreely giving you, what God has freely given me
May your love abound more and more in knowledge and all judgement, that you may approve the things which are excellent and be sincere and without offense until the day of Christ, being filled with all the fruits of righteousness which are by Christ Jesus to the glory and praise of God (Phil 1:9-11).
My Reasons for Writing Living Inside Out
God is concerned about spirituality, while believers are concerned with tools, techniques, and resources to perfect Spirituality. God has chosen Spirituality as His tool, technique, and resource to perfect mankind. This book is about spirituality–and how to live it. Living Inside Out provides valuable insights into understanding spirituality from God’s perspective. This is important because spirituality begins internally and proceeds externally—it begins from the heart.
Many Christians are distracted and consumed by outward activities, ministries, and techniques, so much so that true Spirituality is neglected—it is buried in the chaos of doing. Many Christians are exhausted, defeated, feeling that they never measure up and aching for a reality they know exists but seems just out of reach, and sometimes . . . hopelessly elusive. When Christians lose hope, they despair of life—precisely the opposite of what God has intended.
Despite the past 2,000 years of cultural diversity, denominational differences, and varying understandings of spirituality, there remains a remarkable consensus regarding the essentials of the Christian life. Though particular human activities characterize the faithful these activities are inadequate to define faithful believers. It is the new heart characterized by love, humility, holiness/obedience, and faith produced by the indwelling Holy spirit which defines spirituality. External disciplines or devotion to Scripture, Prayer, Fellowship and Communion/worship are visible marks, which in turn, nourish the internals. The external activities are interrelated and characterize the church over different
periods. The internals of the heart are not only interrelated with the externals, but in fact, they are mutually interdependent.
Living Inside Out can be divided into two Sections. Section 1 examines the relationship between Love, Humility, Holiness, and Faith. Section 2 explores the exercise of these internal qualities through prayer, devotion to the scriptures, fellowship, and The Lords Supper or Communion as rooted in the Passover.
Each subject is examined in the context of Biblical theology, and Church History. In some chapters, multiple historical periods or individuals are contrasted while in others a particular individual predominates. The result is a manual of spirituality suitable for all Christians with footnotes and resources for Pastors and teachers.
My Values & Beliefs
Doctrinal Statement
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
There is one way to become a child of God.
If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.
We must choose to learn what God has told us.
Paul spoke to Timothy, “And that from a child, you have known the Holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
God wants us to share our faith..
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to follow all that I commanded you.”
